About free online strategy games on GAMEFREEX
Subway Warriors plays like a territory game on a transit map. Every station you own recruits troops on its own, interchanges and HQs faster than the rest, and you spend those troops by dragging from one station to another. Squads can only travel through your own stations, so the shape of your network decides where you can strike.
The decisions are small and constant: how many troops to send (a quarter, half or all of them), which interchange to grab first, when to close a line for its +50% bonus, and when to hold back because a rival is waiting for your border to empty. Each gang also has one power, from faster squads to stations that defend better for a few seconds.
There is a 10-step tutorial on a small training map, a campaign that goes from one easy rival in Paris to three Boss-level gangs in Tokyo, free skirmishes, a local versus mode where two to four people share one touch screen, and a daily challenge that is the same for everyone that day.
Matches against the CPU usually take a few minutes on the hub-only network. If you want slower thinking without a clock, Bomber Freex and Logic Freex in the Puzzle category are the closest relatives on the site.
Where to start
- Subway Warriors: Four gangs, five real metro networks and one goal: hold every station. Campaign, skirmish, local versus and a daily challenge.
- Bomber Freex: For a slower kind of planning, in the Puzzle category: finding hidden mines from number clues on boards that grow up to 20 by 20.
Free Online Strategy Games: FAQ
Can I play Subway Warriors against friends?+
Yes, on the same device. Local versus lets two to four players share one touch screen, each with their own gang, with optional CPU gangs to fill the map. There is no online multiplayer yet.
Do I need to download anything?+
No. Subway Warriors runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. Your campaign stars, settings and local hall of fame are saved on the device you play on.
How long is a match?+
Usually a few minutes on the CORE network, where only hubs and terminals are playable. The FULL network, with every station, takes longer, and every match ends after 20 minutes at most.
